Analisis Kerjasama Sosial terhadap Kebersyukuran Masyarakat Dusun Kradegan dalam Prosesi “Mot Banyu” Desa Sidomukti, Kecamatan Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the Mot Banyu or Suwangan traditional procession carried out by the people of Krandegan Hamlet, Sidomukti Village, Bandungan District, Semarang Regency, and to identify the social, cultural, and religious values ​​contained therein. This study also analyzes the forms of social cooperation and the manifestation of community gratitude in maintaining the sustainability of water resources. The study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research location was determined purposively in Krandegan Hamlet. The research subjects consisted of three main informants: the Head of the Neighborhood Association (RW), members of the Youth Organization (Karang Taruna), and local religious leaders. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data validity strengthened through triangulation. The findings indicate that the Mot Banyu tradition not only functions to maintain the sustainability of water sources, but also strengthens the values ​​of mutual cooperation, social solidarity, and community gratitude. This procession includes activities to clean air sources, repair channels, and hold a joint slametan as a form of gratitude. This tradition has implications for maintaining the sustainability of clean water sources and the formation of strong social bonds between residents. This research is limited to Krandegan Hamlet and therefore does not represent the full range of similar practices in other villages. The number of informants is also limited, so the results are primarily descriptive and qualitative and cannot be generalized widely.
